Who We Are

The Short Version

All data you enter stays on your device only. We do not have servers. We do not collect your data. We cannot see it, access it, or share it. Ever.

What Data We Collect

Not Ordinary Girl is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect and store locally on your device only:

The date of your last menstrual period
Your average cycle length
Your dietary preference (meat-eater, vegetarian, pescatarian, or vegan)
Your notification preferences
Your meal preference history (which alternatives you’ve selected)

This data is stored using your device’s local storage. It never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

How We Use Your Data

The data you provide is used exclusively to:

Calculate your current cycle phase and days remaining
Display meal plans appropriate to your phase and dietary preference
Send local push notifications (only if you enable this feature)
Personalise the in-app calendar and phase information

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose other than providing the app’s core functionality.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third party. Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is physically impossible for us to access it remotely.

Push Notifications

If you choose to enable daily reminders, the app uses your device’s local notification system. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any external service. Notifications remind you to view your daily meal recommendations based on your current cycle phase — they are informational and functional only. We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party notifications of any kind. You can disable notifications at any time in the app’s Settings or in your device’s system settings.

Health Data

Menstrual cycle information is considered sensitive health data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We take this seriously. Because all data remains on your device, there is no risk of this information being accessed, breached, or shared by us. We do not integrate with Apple Health, Google Fit, or any other health platform.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

Right of access — Your data is visible at all times within the app’s Settings screen.
Right to rectification — You can update your cycle data or diet preference at any time via Settings.
Right to erasure — You can delete all your data at any time by tapping “Delete All My Data” in Settings. This is permanent and irreversible.
Right to data portability — As your data is stored locally, you have full control of it at the device level.
Right to withdraw consent — You may delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data.

Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device until you either:

Delete it via “Delete All My Data” in Settings, or
Uninstall the application

We have no control over and no access to this data.

Children’s Privacy

Not Ordinary Girl is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this app, please contact us at not.ordinary.porsche.girl@gmail.com for guidance on removing the data from the device.

Cookies and Tracking

This app does not use:

Cookies
Tracking pixels
Analytics SDKs
Advertising SDKs
Cross-app or cross-device tracking of any kind

There is zero analytics collection.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify users via an in-app notice on the next app launch. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will also be updated. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
